The Linfield men’s and women’s swim teams earned honors in the classroom as well as the pool this season. The Linfield women’s squad came just short of repeating as Northwest Conference champion. This marked the program’s eighth straight top-five conference finish. Kirsti Keppo ’26 won individual titles in the 400 individual medley and 500 freestyle at the NWC Championships and swam on the winning 800 freestyle and 200 medley relay teams. She was ultimately named Co-Swimmer of the Meet.
At the conference championships, Keppo and Avery Campbell ’25 set new school records. Campbell eclipsed her own record in the 50 backstroke, and Keppo became the all-time leader in the 1,650 freestyle and the 1,000 freestyle.
Meanwhile, the Wildcat men finished as one of the top four NWC programs for the eighth consecutive year.
In addition, eight swimmers earned College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Academic All-District honors, tying with Willamette for the most selections in the NWC. Keppo, Taila Patterson ’26, Avery Campbell and Emma Campbell ’24 represented the women’s team. The men’s side featured Rocco Velie ’26, Gaving Smith ’25, Nathan Herde ’23, and Cadogan Wheat ’26. Avery Campbell and Emma Campbell made their second appearances on the All-District list, as did Herde and Smith on the men’s side.
