The Linfield women’s basketball team’s 54-49 win at George Fox on Jan. 17 was noteworthy because of its rarity: The Wildcats hadn’t won on the road at perennial conference power GFU since the 2006-07 season.
Guard Ella Koebelin ’26 led Linfield with 14 points in the game, while guard/forward Miki Vermeulen ’26 and guard Eve Burke ’26 added nine points apiece. Burke would go on to earn honorable mention All-Northwest Conference honors on the season.
Linfield finished the season 11-14 overall and 6-10 in the Northwest Conference. Linfield’s 11 wins on the season are the most since 2019-20.
