Doors to Linfield’s Acorn to Oak Wine Experience, an experiential learning lab and tasting room located in downtown McMinnville, are set to open in spring 2023. This student-led venture provides Linfield students real-world experience in a variety of fields, as well as promotes Linfield’s wine programs. Graduate student Stephanie Mitchell is serving as manager for the space. Mitchell oversees a group of students in filling various operational roles, from accounting students managing the books to wine studies majors leading the tasting.
Acorn to Oak Wine Experience plans to feature student-created artwork, live performances by music students and wines from the Oak & Vine Society partner wineries. Acorn to Oak, located at the corner of Third and Ford streets in downtown McMinnville, is in the former Elena’s wine bar space.
