Nobel Prize-winning physicist William Phillips pours liquid nitrogen onto the stage Feb. 23, 2023, inside the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium. Phillips was the headliner for the first Oregon Nobel Laureate Symposium that Linfield has hosted since 2013. He met with groups of students, toured the W.M. Keck Science Center and gave the keynote lecture – which had all available tickets spoken for within days of the event’s announcement.
