In 2019, Linfield created the Presidential IMPACT Scholars program, an intensive career development program funded through the Glenn L. and Helen Jackson Internship Endowment. The program provides yearlong professional development and mentorship opportunities, as well as internships for students with nonprofit and for-profit businesses in alternating summers.
Inaugural IMPACT Scholars Chaylene Grover ’22 of Portland; Kenna Tanouye ’22 of Honolulu, Hawaii; and Lucy Gordon ’22 of Portland graduated in May after successfully completing the program. Alexandra Feller ’21 of Visalia, California, graduated a year early.
During the program, members of the cohort interned at the following locations: All In Sports Foundation, Beaverton Arts Foundation, Hawaii High School Athletic Association, Klamath Falls Herald and News, Let’s Talk Sports podcast, the Sequoia River Land Trust, Target and Tektronix.
