Linfield’s baseball facilities are receiving slight upgrades this winter.
In December, the outfield received a new vinyl wrap, paying tribute to the 1966, 1971 and 2013 national championship teams and five of the program’s notable legends: Roy Helser ’36; Ad Rutschman ’54; Scott Carnahan ’75; Jim Ray ’78; and Scott Brosius ’87. All are alumni student-athletes and former Linfield baseball coaches.
In January, work began at Roy Helser Field to build an addition to the existing batting cage. The new 726-square-foot room will provide expanded strength and conditioning space and a new team meeting room.
The donor-funded project will be completed in spring 2023.
