A line of {critical} thinking

Portrait of Steve Hall '98.

Steve Hall ’98 knows the value of a Linfield education. Not only did he gain the technical skills needed for a successful software engineering career at Nike, but he also learned the critical thinking and communication competence needed in work, travel and life more broadly.

By leaving Linfield in his estate plans, he is ensuring that future Linfield students have the same opportunities.

“The technologies I use today didn’t exist when I graduated,” Hall said. “My ability to learn and think critically is what’s carried me through. I want that available for future students. When I started thinking about where I want to make a difference, Linfield was a natural fit because of the way my values align with what the university is making possible in the world.”
